At the invitation of CTC’s founder WIM Ellen Wang, WIM Evelyn Zhu wrote for the Chess Connections Magazine about her inspiring comeback story at 2019 New York State Girls Championship.
College bound to MIT, Zhu reflected on her memorable games in the tournament. She annotated on the brilliant moves as well as blunders by both sides of the games, pausing at the critical and thrilling moments of the play to share with her readers how she evaluated the positions and made decisions. She recounted her mistakes, both psychological and technical, that will echo with many chess players at various levels.
Zhu’s article will be published in the upcoming summer issue of Chess Connections Magazine (https://chessconnections.org).
